I really enjoyed The Undertaking of Hart and Mercy so it's safe to say I was looking forward to the sequel...but I was prepared for how much I would enjoy it. I think I liked it more than the first, and that doesn't happen often!
I really loved that this book had more of the fantasy element and who doesn't love little baby dragons?? I also enjoyed the "second chance at love" story line...it's refreshing to see romance with older couples and the nuance that comes with that. Megan Bannon did a great job with all aspects of this novel - making it a fun and heartwarming read while also acknowledging the hardships of "later life" romances, transitioning to being the parent of adult children, and feeling like your time for love has passed.
Definitely recommend picking this one up if you haven't already!
