Vivian is anxious about her daughter fitting in at this new magical school. Any parent would be. Until you find out why Aria has to go to Grimoire. I don’t know how each reader defines cozy in their preferred genre. The cover design and title are giving cozy fantasy but I think it’s a little too dark for that. It gets cozy eventually but you may want to check content warnings before jumping in. Vivian is also so absorbed in trying to fit in that she begins to alienate her family. I wanted to reach through the pages and tell her to use her resources; go to the people who know how to help. I believe it was about 3/4 of the way in before Vivian gets her head out of the “woe is me” clouds.
