I usually prefer books with more dialogue and just... events but wow this book was enthralling even with a lack of the two mentioned things. This set up the world and the character well for the next books so I’m super excited to continue with the series. Really really good and I’m realizing I am now enjoying fantasy way more than typical romance contemporary novels which is shocking as I was always a rom-com reader. This is what age does to you haha
