Lolita
by Vladimir Nabokov
A magnificent book told from the perspective of a horrible, vulgar, disgusting man. Also part of my literary canon as realising the absurdity of the romanticisation of this book is what made me critical of at least 90% of things I encounter on the internet.
Also I will be mad at anyone suggesting it was Lolita (a 12-year-old) who seduced Humbert Humbert.Even the narrator himself confesses at the end of the novel how he would give himself thirty-five years for rape; it is completely ridiculous to see it any other way. Again, she was twelve.
