Home explores the story of Frank Money, a tormented Korean War veteran, who is called to rescue his younger sister. Throughout what he hopes will be a purposeful journey and welcomed distraction from his memories of war, Frank picks up the pieces of his fragmented self and explores what it means to be a man. Though Frank is the main character, his younger sister Cee's storyline resonates with me even more.
Cee, who has always depended on her big brother Frank, is also forced to pick up the pieces and determine her fate for herself once Frank rescues her from a doctor whose experiments leave her barren. Surrounded by a village of mean-loving women, Cee recovers and figures out how to be her own woman.
