Sad one. Eric goes through a whole lot and makes questionable decisions because of all the grief he’s dealing with. I especially feel bad for him with regards to the men that walk in and out of his life; all of them practically use him and ditch him once the thrill is gone. In that a-hole Nick’s case, the thrill is gone when Eric says no to him. It is no wonder he fixates on Haru, but when even he seemingly disappears… 😣

I will say I totally did not see the big twist, and I kept looking back to see if I missed any mentions or clues (I was listening to the audiobook). No wonder he spirals out of control…

At least the epilogue shows hope…
