This is my first time reading the series after being a fan of the movies for so long.
I was pleasantly surprised to find that my least favourite scenes in the movies were actually not in the books to begin with. I thought Frodo and Sam were a bit more grounded which made them easier to empathize with. Looking forward to finishing the trilogy!
