Y'all must listen to the audiobook, as it is most enjoyable in Dolly's own voice. While these stories have been told before elsewhere, I enjoyed hearing a compilation of stories about the origins of some of her most legendary songs. This is less an "audiobook" and more like a long-form NPR interview. Any time spent hearing Dolly's stories is a delight so put this on while you're driving, waiting in the car line at your child's school, or while cleaning house for a nice, relaxing, fun listen.
