Master of the Abyss by Cherise Sinclair
4.0
Passed from relative to relative as a child, Kallie Masterson may have survived to become an excellent wilderness guide, but she's insecure in all of her personal relationships. Hotel owner Jake Hunt has sworn off relationships after the tragic death of his submissive, but when Kallie's wilderness guide business and Jake's wilderness lodge plan on working together to create kinky weekend camping trips, Kallie and Jake have to work together. They're drawn together as he teaches her about BDSM, but unbeknownst to both of them, a serial killer is stalking Kallie on the mountain.
This is a wonderful romance novel from Cherise Sinclair. Both Jake and Kallie have been wounded by their earlier life experiences, and their relationship with each other allows both of them to heal. The serial killer plot line isn't quite as well integrated with the rest of the story as I would like it to be, but it's still good. It's definitely worth a read, especially if you like kinky romance novels.
