Bruce's Big Move (a Mother Bruce Book) by Ryan T. Higgins

5.0

Bruce's house is too crowded, chaotic, and noisy, so Bruce decides to move somewhere quiet and peaceful. Finally he finds the perfect home! Unfortunately, his geese are sad and lonely without their mouse friends. He tries to cheer them up, but nothing works until the mice show up with the moving van. Yay! Now the geese are happy, the mice are happy, aaaand Bruce is back to having a chaotic, noisy house. Still...it does feel like home.

I LOVE Ryan T. Higgins' picture books. They are my new favorites, right up there with Mo Willems'. Our daughter asks us to read them over and over, giggling at the story and illustrations every single time. Higgins' illustrations are superb--conveying worlds of subtext and humor. Some books you really get tired of reading over and over, but these are just as delightful the 67th time as they were the 1st.
