Anne Morrow Lindbergh was one of my grandmother's heroes and Gramma was present with me as I was reading. She was a bit of a distraction at times, because I know she would have had problems with some of the scenes and situations. Of course, Gramma was born in 1905, and was quite sheltered, even for her era. In spite of that, it was fun to engage with her in my mind and get a peek into the writing of the books she loved so well!
