The Boy Who Could See Demons by Carolyn Jess-Cooke
4.0

This book was available as a Nook Bargain Book for under $2.99. To be honest, I was not expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised. Taking place in Ireland, an area I am not familiar with, it touches on a period of time dubbed "The Troubles" and the affect it has had on Belfast and its community. It is an interesting topic and if the claims are true and not too exaggerated a very serious issue within Northern Ireland. This book delves into our the inner-workings of the human psyche and deals with our personal demons, pain and mental illnesses in those young and old. The book was a fast, easy read that kept me interested the entire time. It's not often a book's ending can catch me completely by surprise and I have to admit this one did. I highly recommend.
