The Space Between by Sarah Ready

5.0

Quick Summary: A heart wrenching, ugly cry, women's fiction novel

My Review: The Space Between by Sarah Ready is the type of book that stirs up a whirlwind of emotions inside the reader. There is so much to it. It's actually hard to put into words just how moving this novel is. At the core of the story, there is a common thread that is linked to love, family, friendship, and forgiveness. Along with that, however, readers are exposed to ugly actions, cruel attitudes, hurtful incidences, and more. In the end, everything becomes clear and the light that is needed shines on those who need it the most.

My Thoughts: As I was listening to the audiobook I kept thinking how this story reminded me of the love stories I've come to cherish over my lifetime. It had an emotional pull that grabbed my attention and would not release it. I was totally drawn into the stories within the story. I found that there was value and a lesson attached to each person.

My Final Say: This book evoked very strong feelings within me. It was so hard hitting, in fact, that I cried. I smiled. I laughed. I tensed up. I loved. I grieved. I celebrated. I applauded.

I appreciated the struggles. I appreciated the characters. I appreciated the strength that was shown. I appreciated the courage that it took to face that which was unavoidable. It won me over.
