I sped read through this because I needed it OVER with. Oh my god, I truly could not stand the main character. She seemed to have this inner feeling of being superior to everyone but also hating herself and having no self esteem? There was honestly no fundamental plot and her love interest felt very two dimensional to me. She consistently belittled him and gave off red flags and he continued to be the sweet boy next door and always said yes I forgive you when she came back? I understand her trauma and her being afraid of love but he gave her no remarks whenever she came back he just hugged her and pretended everything was fine.

I tried to rethink this book in the lens of just a summer read, but even then I just think I hated it?
