Deep in the Alaskan Woods by Karen Harper

I’m not sure how many time an author can use the word trauma and tragedy in a single book. This book felt like somebody learning how to write characters. This is the heroine, she is traumatized by her vanished twin, this is her ex, he is violent, the is the hero, he is traumatized by his dad’s death. Literally all emotions were spelled out. Also, the dialogue was written like those Reddit posts where an alien asks about every day life. I hoped the murder plot would still be good even if the character development lacked but the resolution honestly didn’t quite make sense. So yeah, I wasn’t a fan. I have read worse books but I wouldn’t recommend this to anybody.
