Spirit and Dust by Rosemary Clement-Moore

3.0

Ok, so once again I thought I would dive into a light and fun read that wasn't incredibly deep and dark and thought provoking. This was sort of a palette cleanser after heavier reading.

I found this to be a charming read, but I definitely enjoyed the first book of the series more. It's probably just a matter of character chemistry with regards to the leads. The characters were interesting, and actually the more detailed plot (with its additional twists) made for a much better story. But Daisy was a little less interesting to me than Amy and Carson, though heavy on the dark and broody, was less compelling than Ben. Either way, this was a fun quick read that did leave me giggling and full of the warm and fuzzies in the end.
