Its not that I didn’t enjoy this graphic novel. It went by quickly and the art was lovely. It was the story that fell short. Nothing really made sense, there wasn’t much explanation, and I really didn’t see the point. The whole story is about a mysterious school and a secret society. But we never really learn much more than that other than there is a “Key Student” and a student “leaves” the school after each exam. I feel like we were meant to read between the lines but I just felt like there was nothing there. We also have some Greek mythology mixed in that I feel like was meant to have some significance.
The main reason I picked this up is for the LGBTQ+ themes, and that at least, did not disappoint.
Overall a forgettable graphic novel, but I did enjoy the art. This just wasn’t for me.
