it's rare to read a book from the perspective of someone who isn't 100% moral, and that's why I gave this book 5 stars.
I really enjoyed watching Coriolanus try to rationalize why he did the things that he did, even if it causedharm or death to other people. I also liked the moment that Lucy Gray left Coriolanus and created a full circle moment where they were both defending themselves from each other. It's so interesting to read a characters thought process, and especially during scenes like that one where the characters perception is everything. I really liked reading this story through the lense of Coriolanus, and reflecting on how the story would be different from another character perspective, like Sejanus'. reading this whole story knowing exactly what is going to happen but also having that sense of suspense was enjoyable and I feel like it's something very difficult to achieve. I would like to think that Lucy Gray did survive, but what if she didn't? what if one of his shots killed her? and if she did survive, where did she go? it was a very engaging and interesting book from the beginning.
I really enjoyed watching Coriolanus try to rationalize why he did the things that he did, even if it caused
