I wanted to be terrified by this book but just wasn’t. something about the train of thoughts style journal as the main source of the book made it increasingly hard to follow the plot. Add in the excerpts from other sources that to me via audio weren’t properly identified I was more confused than I was scared.
Yes the ending sequences left me on the slightest edge and the tiniest bit emotional but I think the impact could have been so much more had I been reeled in from the beginning and not left struggling to keep up through the first half.
