I think it's an interesting book in theory, not in practice

I don't really care about any of the other characters bar Emma, and though I think the arcs were neat
Emma's ego death and rebuild, not having to balance her filial duties w/ getting married to Mr. Knightley was a good way to resolve her arc, and Harriet becomes what Emma wanted all along, which was to be successful and happy on her own merits through marrying Mr. Martin, which I think are both neat
, I found the prose stiff and tough to get through
