Liked this very much. I am not sure if it is a credit to the BBC Series, but I found that the book didn't really have much to add to the TV series but both are equally compelling. I guess he main exception is that Tennison is less acerbic in the book than on TV. She is so likeable when you can hear her thoughts, but I guess that is the whole point of sexism , isn't it? A police woman has to show a "tough" exterior.

Davina Porter as the narrator is perfect except that I have flashbacks to Outlander : ) It almost feels as if Tennison is a modern day Claire!

Quick read.. and not as dark as I thought it would be.
