A Thousand Boy Kisses by Tillie Cole

2.0

What.A.Train.Wreck. Gratuitous grief and a story that could have been half this long if only the author would stop waxing poetically at every step about life, love, smiles, long blond hair, moody-with-no-real-reason boy, excessive cheerful girl, oh and blossoms, kisses, and the same phrase that was repeated until death by boredom "my heart almost burst". No, it didn't. I felt as a reader that I had been spoonfed every feeling and every thought and not once, but several times with the same "meal". As a result, I couldn't be moved by the characters' very tragic story. Also their dialogue at age eight, fifteen, and even at seventeen felt unrealistic, taken from books and Instagram life quotes, and sometimes forced. This is the Wattpad version of a Walk to Remember. 2 stars just because the premise was good and the characters started as cute and with much potential. Too bad they didn't have any depth later.
