I really enjoyed the first 3/4 of this book. I loved the world building that happened within the silo and getting an understanding of a full civilization that was built over the years. I also really enjoyed the multiple POVs and getting a look into the different characters and how their placement in the silo informed them. However, the last 1/4 of the book really lost me. Suddenly everything worked out perfectly for Juliette (she was able to make a perfect suit in seemingly no time and then
survives the flames with just a heat blanket?? And Bernard just LUCKILY does with no explanation as to how he was tricked into the chamber??
. I was craving more from the ending, and something more enticing that excited me to continue the series. I’m not sure if I’ll pick up the second book.
