I, Jedi by Michael A. Stackpole
3.0

I had fairly high hopes for this book considering how much EU star wars fans praise it. Unfortunately I was let down for the most part. The first half of the book is essentially a rehashing of the Jedi academy trilogy which was already awful to begin with. It was hard to read and to connect with. The second half of the book was so much better. I became invested in Corran Horn as a character and his arc overall. But near the end it became too much for me with the blatant plot holes, the cheesy juvenile dialogue and just tasted very bland near the end. While this review is fairly negative, it is mostly because of the potential that I saw in this book and how frustrating it is for me, as a huge star wars fan, to see a lot of this potential wasted. While I still enjoyed this book overall, it just felt very bland near the end and I was ready to move on. 3.1 out of 5. (Rounded down to 3)
