Meh. I normally like big family sagas where everyone gets a book (cue Oprah saying “you get a book and YOU get a book and YOU...” but this one fell a little short for me. I think the characters really didn’t resonate with me, the BDSM aspects felt forced and weird, there were too many other side stories. I know the author wanted to introduce all of the key players in the family but good lord, there were SO many, after a while it was hard to keep track. I’m not sure I want to read the whole series, I kind of want to read Meghan’s story and Alex’s story just to see if they get rid of their asshole spouses and I want to read Miranda and Decker but this seems like the kind of series where if you don’t read every single story and in order, you’ll end up super lost. I just don’t want to make that investment, time, money, or energy.
