Transient Desires by Donna Leon

5.0

This was a really interesting book. Its not an author I've read before but my husband really likes these books and so gave it to me to read when he'd finished it. I'm glad he did.

It was a really enticing and thoroughly gripping book. I really like Brunetti and the relationship he has with various people, including his Wife Paola who is a professor.

The family meals that have and the conversation Brunettis daughter has about school is really quite funny, and relatable as its some my dad would have done when I was a teen. It made me chuckle.

I like the snatches of descriptions of Venice and the area, the cafes Brunetti visits and restaurants, just made me want to visit Venice.

I really enjoy detective books and having the central character as Brunetti is brilliant, reading it has made me want to revisit Brunetti and his family and colleagues for the next dramatic installment that he needs to fugure out the answer to.
