The Adult
by Bronwyn Fischer
very mid in my opinion. the prose was pretty, occasionally, and i did tab some specific lines because i’d like to return to them, but overall i spent half of this book feeling bored. natalie’s passivity toward almost everything, while i understand it in terms of being uncertain in her identity in a new town at a big university, was so frustrating. stand up girl! i also saw the ~twist~ coming like 50 pages into the book, so it didn’t really excite me. it definitely got better the more i read, but overall this wasn’t anything exceptional for me.
