I was interested enough by the concept, and then interested to see where it went, but the ending didn’t necessarily make the book feel worth it. The mystery was well developed but the end almost felt like Dan being Gossip Girl. Forced, like the writer really wanted it to be out of left field and unpredictable. So much so that it felt like a letdown. It was still enjoyable but the ending really reduced the star rating for me.
