The Nice House on the Lake Vol. 1
by James Tynion IV
So I read the first chapter of this sometime this summer, decided it was too bleak, and put off continuing it. But in my quest to read my stretch goals I have been looking at stuff I've already partially started and powering through.
I'm so glad I finished this.
The moral questions being explored here, especially the deeper you go, like when you meet or the various high school memories layering over the current reality build up to this great question of moral and ethical complexity.
Is Walter evil?
Is it evil to try and save your friends?
If you only knew a few people could be saved, who would you pick? How?
Who is on who's side?
So good.
Also A+++ queer rep I am loving it so much.
