It’s fine. I like the premise. I love a good trial based book. I found it very repetitive. Tension, training, he has the kings eyes, ball, trial, tension, training, my father taught me everything I know, ball, trial.
The tension goes nowhere
Kai’s main character trait is that he hates to wear a shirt???
The last 80 pages are good and caught me a bit by surprise and make me want to read the next one but the first 420 pages were not worth it.
If I didn’t know the end was good then I would have DNFed probably.
It’s just a bit slow, repetitive and could have 150 less pages.
I do love aenemies to lovers to enemies reset but there really was almost no lover.
