This was fine, I didn’t love it, but not as bad as I feared.
My main thing is that if not for the constant reminders every other line that this girl was an assassin, I would never have guessed. She never gave assassin and she never did any assassinating. Also I wish they had focused more on any kind of action, like the actual tournament (but that might be more personal taste, since fantasy isn’t my first choice in books).
