Anastasia Allen is a figure skater on a college scholarship. Nate Hawkins is an ice hockey player with a trust fund. When the hockey team’s rink gets trashed by another team, the figure skaters and hockey team must share the rink.
This is an enemies to lovers story, with Stassie really not liking having to share the ice with the team, but very quickly they form friendships and Nate and Stassie become a couple. At first the story is full of chemistry, plenty of smut and Anastasia has plenty of sass. But as her skating partner’s controlling behaviour starts to become more apparent, the cracks start to appear.
All in all they’re a sweet (and very spicy!) couple, but you really have to suspend your disbelief that a pair of people that are so emotionally immature at times can be so wise at others. Stassie and Aaron’s relationship I just wanted to scream “why can’t you see he’s toxic?!”.
There’s plenty of spice throughout the story and all the characters (except Aaron!) are likeable, I just really needed a bit more plot at times!
