I really loved this book. I deducted a star because the POV-switches mid-chapter (and all still from third-person) got a little confusing, but the story itself is beautiful. Second-chance romance with even better side stories of motherhood, sobriety, and breaking generational trauma. As for the love story itself, while at times the “we hung out for a week in high school while high and drunk and fell so in love we wrote about each other in fiction for the next 10 years” was a little unbelievable, overall the couple was very compelling, and I loved the ending.
