Foolish Hearts by Emma Mills
4.0

'That had everything on my must-have list,' I say, and then drop down to a whisper: 'Luxury. Affordable. Industry standard.'

A d o r a b l e book. Just when I thought I had escaped from the world of YA high school fiction! Something about the Powerful women loving women (without all the mopey sadness of being gay in high school), the unabashed geekiness & Unapologetic Loving of the Things You Love, and the Very Wholesome Messaging About Relationships makes this easy read more than a little heart-warming. I could have done without as many um-yeah-sures (even if it is true to the way teenagers speak), and a lot of the conflict resolution was saved for the very last bit. But I am extraordinarily upset that Emma Mills can create goofy and fun YA novels while Also "pursuing a PhD in cell biology." Also- I will be referring to all my straight friends as "Straighty McHetero" in the future.
