This was a complete disappointment to me.
I am a fan of Anne Rice, and though I cannot dispute that she is a great writer, I found this book to be disjointed and completely over the top in terms of it's religious tone.
The book is about an assassin who encounters an angel, travels through time and becomes a monk. The two stories were so vastly different from one another they could have been two seperate books.
The book essentially was about conversion. I think it could have been done without the time travel element? It should have been two different books.
