Tilly in Technicolor
by Mazey Eddings
4.5!! I’m not generally a YA reader but this was…everything. To know that the younger generation has access to books about life just makes my heart so happy. I’ve been a firm believer in accepting people as they are and embracing differences…but unfortunately, I am not the norm. People can be so cruel, sometimes without even trying. This book did such a beautiful job of shedding light onto social differences and the need to talk about those differences with the people you love. This little book was packed with a variety of representations: LGTBQ, mental health, ADHD, autism…and even though I don’t fall into all of those categories, the author did a wonderful job of making me truly FEEL and understand each character. Love. Love. LOVE.
