A Little Too Far by Lisa Desrochers
4.0

In A Little Too Far, you meet Lexie Banks. Her boyfriend just cheated on her and 2 days before she leaves for a semester abroad in Rome she sleeps with her stepbrother, Trent!!! He also happens to be her best friend and the person she confides in for everything! No matter how amazing the sex was, she knows he is off limits! So she is going to put all that behind her because she is moving to Rome for a year… at least that is the plan!

"Never during any of it, even once we're both naked on my bed, does any part of me feel like we shouldn't be doing this. All of a sudden, he isn't my stepbrother. He's everything I've ever needed."

Now that she has moved to Rome and realized she has gone a little too far, she needs to figure out where to go from here! How does she move forward, when her every thought is about Trent? So she decides that she needs to go to confession. She was raised Catholic and hopes that this will lift some of the guilt. Hoping to avoid going to hell and to direct her focus elsewhere, she is told to help out the church. But meeting Reverend Allessandro Moretti, only makes things more difficult! He is young and very handsome… and will become a priest in 8 short months! So he is definitely off limits because he has taken a vow of celibacy… right?

"I've got the hots for the good reverend,"
"I thought I was going to hell before, but this pretty much cements it."

During their time together, they become very close. Teaching children about art for the church, proves to be the best thing for Lexie. But when Alessandro starts showing he is interested in her in an intimate way, her heart becomes very confused. Is she falling in love with a man she shouldn't want or a man she can't have??? When it comes down to it, she knows which one she can't live without! But she also knows it isn't going to be easy…

When I first started this book I was unsure how I would feel about it based off the synopsis, but once I got started I couldn't put it down! I enjoyed every minute! The author did an amazing job of showing you just how close she is with her stepbrother and that it is not an incest relationship. I loved Lexie's journey and how she grew to be an independent woman, while figuring out where her heart is pulling her! This story left me breathless and I couldn't get enough!!! Don't pass this book up!
