What a ride!
Kind of a mixed bag overall and when I think about it, I have more complaints than I do things I liked. However, the things I liked still outweigh what I didn’t like despite it being a shorter list.

Off the bat, this book has a large number of typos and would benefit from a nice tidying edit. Otherwise it is pretty well written. The author’s style is very readable and uncomplicated without being hollow and surface level.

The world created in this book was super cool and different and I wish more time was given to fleshing out the world beyond the MC. Honestly, my main complaint is that I think this would have done better as a duology or as a 500-600pg book. The main form of relationship building in this book was sex despite the little glimpses of emotional connection. I wanted more buildup outside of the physical connection as well as more time with certain members of the harem. One guy specifically felt really neglected to me which is a shame because he was such an intriguing character. Another guy got a lot of attention physically but almost zero emotional bonding. I just wish there was more balance and more time.

I loved Queenie and thought she was a fantastic fmc. She’s smart, strong, and badass while still being vulnerable and fallible. I thought she was very well rounded.
