Three Wishes is based on three triplets (sisters) who face problematic situations in their lives. Lyn, Cat and Gemma are very close with each other and you see them go through personal problems that effect them individually and as a family. There is a lot of drama with boyfriends/husbands/family that gets shown throughout the book and how the sisters cope with their emotions to one another.

I really enjoyed this novel and getting to know the sisters felt quite personal. I could connect to each one with sympathy but also hatred at the same time due to what they were going through and how they acted. There was a lot of surprise elements that were exciting to read, it was hard to put the book down in some parts where the intensity grew between the sisters and other characters.

Throughout the book the main chapters are split up with perspectives from strangers who view the triplets in their own eyes as they grow up. It’s really interesting to see what their views on the sisters are compared to how they are perceived in the main chapters. The contrasts really work well together and make the storyline more unique rather than just having the main characters lead the narrative.

Overall, I really enjoyed this book and it’s the second Liane Moriarty book I’ve read. I have rated it 3.75 stars out of 5 as the start of the book confused me a bit with the narrative changing frequently from different perspectives. I liked the character development a lot, there were quite a few plot twists that were exciting and the topics covered were filled with lots of emotion. It was a light hearted read with heavy subjects such as divorce, miscarriage, infidelity, panic attacks, emotional abuse and loss.
