What a fascinating and unique book! The writing is melodic in places, yet still steeped in tension from the consequences of fractured time. I feel Sora's emotions, tightly bound in the narrative, as she seeks to strengthen the threads she has to those she loves—her missing mom, her dad, Koki. As the book unfolds piece by piece, she learns to make new threads to people who want to be present in her life, to loosen her hold on threads that are only keeping her stuck in the past. The ending is deeply moving and feels so right. I honestly loved this book!!
