Although I liked the first book more, this was still a really good sequel! It was definitely thrilling, mysterious, and tense, and at some points I couldn’t put it down. I thought the plot was great but there was so much going on it was hard to keep up with at times. I loved seeing Reed all grown up and the relationship he developed with Josie and her family, but I felt that his relationship with Liza was too similar to the relationship between Josie and Zach in the first book, it lacked originality. I also felt like it lacked depth, but I understand this was primarily a mystery/thriller and not a romance novel. I thought the author did a great job of wrapping up this story with a satisfying ending, and the epilogue was sweet. Overall this was a great murder mystery/thriller/suspense book with some romance, but I still think the first one’s storyline was more interesting.
