These Commisarrio Brunetti books just go down like delicious snacks--intelligent but easy on the reading palate.
This one gave us significantly more information about Scarpa, and involved something that many in the series don't: a real crime, and a real murderer. Brunetti's wife provides background observations on the nature of sin and evil. And, as usual, justice is eluded.
Solid four stars.
