The Bosun by Harlow Layne

5.0

The Bosun hit me in an unexpected way. I wasn’t expecting to feel so many emotions when reading it.

Stella is newly divorced and she is ready to move on and live her life starting with a trip to Spain with her friends. She doesn’t expect to have a little vacation fling with one of the works on the boat. Remy left the military and started a new life in Spain working on a yacht. The moment him and Stella meet there is an instant connection.

I instantly fell in love with Stella. She is one of those women who you just want to become best friends with. I loved seeing her confidence grow throughout the story. She has moved on from her divorce and now she is ready to live her life and have what she wants in her life. Remy, it is easy to fall for him. He is kind, caring, protective, but also broken inside. He is struggling with events that happened during his time in the military. The two of them together are amazing. They balance each other out and have some insane chemistry.

This story is emotional, it is beautiful, it is steamy. I loved Stella and Remy, plus all the secondary characters were a great addition. I loved getting to see more of Lexie and Ryder (whose story is featured in The Model) and I am looking forward to the next story, which is Stella’s best friend Penelope.

If you are looking for an age gap, military romance this is one to check out.
