As far as Salvatore's tales and stories of Drizzt go, this one seems longer... and the reason is... not apparent.
The plot is fine however, what this addition to the Legend of Drizzt is missing is character development and lack of proper motivation. Does Drizzt learn more about himself? Yes and no.
Do the drow have some evil plan they're concocting? Yes... and no.
Hoping things become clearer in the next book.
As usual Salvatore's description of fight sequences is unparalleled and keeps you gasping and wincing for the characters. Another action packed tale!
