Blood Thinners
by Heather Novak
This was a really fun book, didn't take itself too seriously, and a great way to kick off spooky season.
Mina Summers has dedicated her entire life to SHAP, the government agency in charge of keeping the peace between supernaturals and humans.
She is only one mission away from promotion to a desk job. Her last assignment, go undercover at Thinner a new weight loss company getting unreal results. She is convinced this will be a quick in and out on her way to the top, until she meets VP Carma Nicks. Confused by the woman's genuine nature, and drawn in to her orbit, Mina has to ask herself is willing to bring down not only the company but possibly the woman she has grown to love.
The leads were both likeable, with distinct personalities, but outside of the MCs the rest of the cast were quirky and lovable. Particularly Mina's ghost roommate.
