All Quiet on the Western Front by Erich Maria Remarque

the details of war

What I liked about this book was the details that the author provided in writing the book. I believe that the author wrote this book based on the experiences he had from the war. So he had plenty to draw from when constructing the novel. And that is what makes this book so effective. The sheer gravity of the details of war provided here is what the novel has that makes it quite effective as an anti war tome
