Honestly I'm a little disappointed after the hype I've heard.
I think Rae might be the most moronic FMC character I've ever read, I couldn't stand her!! The whole time I kept literally yelling at the kindle to just fucking sacrifice her already. "Oh look, demons exist! And he's telling me I'm in danger, mmm... Surely he's lying because this girl invited me for coffee, she can't be evil!" (God, I hated her so much)
Her personality is so bland too, everyone's personalities felt unfulfilling to me actually. Like unnatural or fake somehow.
If anything, the demons are interesting, although they're not "demony" at all. (Except Callum, he reads scary. But he's and Archdemon).
I wish Leon had a bit more darkness, he feels too fluffy for my taste in a dark romance. Maybe I'm just jaded now hahaha
That piercing scene though... WOW! Erotic as fuck! I wasn't expecting that. Kudos to Harley.
I'm still reading the next 2 books, btw. Just please no more fucking Rae, I hope Juniper and Everly are not that frustratingly stupid.
