Dacia Wolf & the Prophecy by Mandi Oyster

I received this copy as an ARC review and will be reviewing with my own personal opinions.
The beginning started out strong but than I felt like in some parts it was rushed and cut to the chase. The story is about 18 year old Dacia who starts college along side her guy best friend Cody where she learns about a prophecy and has to learn how to control her powers.
I felt like while reading the book it was written in a style that was more inclined to younger readers.
In the story, the characters are 18 and starting college. I feel like the dialogue was short and it cut to chase rather quickly. The scene where Cody asks Dacia to be his girlfriend felt immature as it felt like they were 13/14 not 18 . It just seemed very young. You also have bullies which Cassandra and her crew gave me middle school mean girl vibes.
With that being said, I see lots of potential with the series and would love to read more of the growth of the characters and where their journey takes them.
