The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule

I was disappointed. I think I was expecting a true crime podcast or documentary in print, with the twist that the author actually knew the killer. This was more of a broad (and very long) survey of the Ted Bundy saga. You didn’t get to know any of the victims and all of their stories felt glossed over. Maybe that’s a function of there just being so many of them…I’m not sure. But I found myself bored and scanning through a lot of the book. Every time there was another added epilogue I groaned inwardly.
