On the Jellicoe Road by Melina Marchetta

That was emotional. Wow. I never thought I would cry but I did cry. The way the author just whoops you in with her words. Taylor Markham and the gang was the best part of it. They way they supported each other and loved each other and just be there for each other is something you will ever want for a friendship. The writing was just incredible you can just feel the emotions in it and it makes your heart heavy because its full of sadness. I'm not very fond of sadness maybe that's why it took me days to finish reading this because I'm not a fan of too much sadness, i like it a little maybe since it kinds of is still a valuable component when making a story but definitely not a fan of it. I was expecting that here but the sadness just bored me down and I just have to take a break from it sometimes.

The characterization was amazing too, you can actually say that they're for a reason and its not the shallow reason, its weird how I can actually feel them breathing in the pages. Jonah, Taylor, etc. Amazing.

There are some phrases that just hits me hard and I kind of just stare at it for a minute and cry. 😂😂😂 omg

Although I kind had minor problems with it, like the territory wars being confusing and I kind of I'm not invested in it cause I dont really care, the adults were just weird like why? The mystery part was a cool thing really but its not really a mystery when you look at it the first page and exactly know what's going to happen.

But yeah even though I kind of rolled my eyes at some part, it was amazing and still had me crying.
